They were still at Wroxham in early June. I stopped there for a pump-out. Didn't look about to close.

Hi Andrew I hired from Le Boat week before last (It was the first time I have hired from them and I was very impressed with the boat and the service). We picked up our boat (Swallowtail/GL2) from Wroxham but some people were sent to pick theirs up from Horning. Having asked, they told me that they are moving all boats to Horning 'soon' but weren't sure exactly when. I also popped into their new yard (where I had hired from Horning pleasurecraft many time is the past) and they had a number of boats lined up ready for hire. Kevin

Hi Paul and Andrew They have certainly brought some new boats in mainly I think 30/32 foot sedans I want to say Princess but could well be Brooms, they are plastic so I don't take that much notice. As to where they run from I have not a clue, I only know they went in at Wroxham. This befor they were liveried with Le Boat.Actually Paul I took these from BA whilst mored at Wroxham that memorable week end.

Hi Folks Connoisseur do now go under the Le Boat name, which is the bringing together of what was formerley ran as 3 more seperate fleets that the group owned - Connoisseur, Crown Blue Line & Emerald Star. Due to the drop in popularity of boating holidays in Ireland this year they have brought back a fair number of boats (Caprice, Capri TS, Tamaris LS) these are running from Horning (they're too tall to fit under Wroxham bridge to get to the Wroxham base). If you do a search on their website it only brings up Wroxham as a start point. Why they have not detailed it as a seperate base on their website I do not know - maybe just to programming & timing issues. I'd hope this will be corrected for next year as it is a bit un-necessarily misleading, if this is to be their only base in 2010 then i suppose this is easily changed over and might explain why they've not listed two bases recently. The Horning base is at what was formerley Horning Pleasurecraft, though some private moorings and other interests do remain there rather than the entire site being under their use All the best Dan http://www.fbwilds.horning.org.uk (My website on the Caribbean bathtub!) http://www.dhorner.horning.org.uk (My General Boating Website)

Hi, We were down at the weekend and were talking to some people who had hired a Le Boat from Horning, and in fact told us that Le Boat had moved at the weekend. There were certainly no boats at the yard in Wroxham and it all looked very empty, apart from the private boats. John and Mary Image

If Le Boat can fit everything in at Horning then that seems to make sense from an operational point of view. They've built boats (for Ireland & Europe as well as the Broads) at Wroxham for a long time so I wonder what's happening to that? There were loads & loads of the ex-Ireland boats around & about last week. The Caprices are massively tall & I think they must fall into the 'will not pass under any Broads Bridges anywhere' category. I spotted four Tamaris's between Berney Arms & Acle on Tuesday morning.

They have already stated that they are moving their boatbuilding operation out of the UK (Spain I think) so given that there is the large ex-Wilds shed on the Horning site it would seem likely that heavy repair work and refitting would logically move there along with the entire enlarged hire fleet. It will be interesting to see whether there is further shuffling of boats between fleets as certainly some of the Irish boats would appear more suited to European waters whilst some of those refitted might be better for the Broads.
