Just got back after another lovely week on the Broads. One day of rain rest blue skys.
This was a week on Lucent again out of Hunters Yard.

However one disappointment, The Pleasure Boat is still closed. Does anybody have any information about when it will reopen?  However a visit to the Lion at Thurne more than made up for it. What a delightful establishment this is.  Even better since I last visited. So So different when it was run by the previous landlord.

best wishes
PD

We had a week on the Northern Broads 3 - 10 Sep 21.  As we had hired from Herbert Woods, we made our first night stop at Thurne Dyke.  The food and service at The Lion was excellent.  The beer was good too  Smile  In fact it was that good, we stopped at Thurne Dyke on our last night and again had an excellent meal and service at The Lion!

it is extremely bad practice for bar and waiting staff to wear their waiters cloth over the shoulder. yuk

Such a shame the last two comments seem to be having a dig at someone who probably never gave any permission for her piccie to be posted on a public forum in the first place.

Absolutely agree with Dili, bad form to comment on an innocent photo participant.  I'm sure tongue in cheek mind.

I find Thurne Dyke is hard work to navigate.  We are experienced hands at the helm but the side winds can be wicked.  Id be ok with our boat having both bow and stern thrusters but have run into issues when hiring and no thrusters

The pace of life down there
suits us

Tongue in cheek or not, the comment is in bad taste.
