That's caused by the site being HTTP, not HTTPS, so data is not encrypted. They really need to spend the few pounds to purchase an SSL certificate and set up HTTPS. I for one am reluctant to submit data on an insecure site. Also by making the site secure it will perform better in Google searches.

And yet Norton does not have anything to say about the forum.  Strange.   However, was most insistent about the other site.

As I see it you will get no share on any possible profits and at best get your money back if the project fails.

We have invested in The Locks , not for any financial return but hopefully to keep it as a pub for the benefit of boat users and the public at large.
If it succeeds then every time we visit it will be a nice
feeling thinking we did out little bit to save the pub.
We do not expect discounted food or beer but the satisfaction that it is not  another pub lost for ever.

I hope you're not trying to turn this into some sort of competition   Smile   I've noticed a rather odd trait over there of opening one's private life to the world. Not something I'd like to see replicated on here. If I take any shares, I won't tell you or anyone else  Evil Grin

Hi, After a bit of a gap I am returning to the Broads for a weeks cruiser hire in late May. One of the places I would like to revisit is Geldeston. Can anyone update me regarding the situation at the Locks Inn? I was pleased to see the news earlier this year about the community funding effort but it seems to have gone quiet since then. A Google search turns up their website saying "permanently closed", not a good sign!
Any info. would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Cheers, Johnboy

The Locks has a large advert in the 2021 Broadcaster stating opening "Spring" The guy who organised it all has stood down as a District Councillor to concentrate on The Locks they are on Facebook "The Locks Inn Community Pub" and Twitter @thelocksinn so more info there. Loads of Volunteers doing things
New Website is www.thelocksinn.com ( Its hard work getting old sites taken down)
