I think I would rather not have the washing up and go out to eat ... lol xx its nice to be waited on when it's a special occasion..but as we haven't been for a couple of years things change.. so it is nice to get others opinions ..

Looks like you might be going for The Bure River Cottage then! With an early mooring up on the green or the one space beyond the Southern Comfort is another option sometimes not realised by others ( if you're lucky!) You could always moor on Perci's Island and pounce when a spot comes free. And the village is nice for a wander and an ice cream etc so it would t be a wasted afternoon.
However, If you are able to get through Wroxham then there is always the option of a mooring at Coltishall ( more plentiful ) and a meal at the Kings ( behind the Rising Sun). They do lovely food there and we have had many an anniversary dinner there over the years as we are always on board the same week in July ( bar 2020 and Covid !) and we always head up there in the first part of the week. Sorry I forgot to mention that earlier. Their Cromer crab cakes are to die for, and they often serve an extra little free taster starter if they are busy. It is not your average pub grub and there is usually a nice busy atmosphere of mostly diners as that's what it's known for.
Have a great birthday and a wonderful holiday.

Had our 25th anniversary meal at the kings.. that was a few years ago..coming up to 43 years this month..it was our 40th when we were last on the broads..to be honest ..we would just like a nice meal that's decent and a nice place to moor.. live the broads x
Hi hope you dont mind me asking you but, finding somewhere good to eat depends on budget, there are some very nice places that have been mentioned that serve good "pub grub" that is value for money. Thete are others that have been suggested that are a bit better than pub grub and the prices reflect that. Then there are others that havent been mentioned, probably because they are "a bit pricey" but that maybe what you want for a special celebration. An idea of what you are looking to spend would help.
if it is to be it is up to me.
