Hi there you can moor at 24hr ba mooring at horning green ,But you need to get there early to get a mooring as very popular mooring, if you dont mind a 10/15 minutes walk , you can moor at ferry marina boatyard next to the ferry inn , as your on a hire boat you can moor there free and likely to get a mooring ,

steve and vicky
( apparently a moaner)

...but you do need to go South for that one, and I know not everyone wants to head down through Yarmouth and do a Breydon crossing on the shorter days of Autumn. Suppose you could moor up on the Northerns and take a taxi ride? Considerably shorter trip by road!

Not sure why going South is a problem.
Plenty of mooring space & even a lobster menu.  Smile

The Mermaids Slipper currently is indeed operating as a take away only , however they are also offering a fantastic looking hamper (as described on their online menu) which could be a wonderful option to eat aboard , and a great surprise / unexpected 65th treat , plus of course any wines purchased from Tesco or similar would be a substantial saving on restaurant prices

CC - when you say " currently " that sort of infers it's temporary but I did speak to the Mermaids Slipper this week and  after asking very specifically about that, I was told very clearly that they are staying that way.

So, have you been told something different ? Recently?  I'm genuinely interested because we have always gone there for special meals.

Karen

Karen ,

In which case I stand corrected as your information is more up to date than mine own .
A sad thing that this has happened and I can only hope that the owners change their minds in the future as it will be a great loss

I know ! That's exactly how we feel too CC. I hope things change too eventually, and wish them all the best.

Such a lovely place.
