There must be more of an explanation surely!!

Work in progress one must think.  That muck is going to trail into all moored boats by the occupants and their furry pets.

That is a long stretch to put something more durable down or perhaps a boardwalk.  As it stands and if left a satisfactory grassed land has been spoilt

The pace of life down there
suits us

This is what pedros/bbc have put on there Facebook page regarding this ,
" Exciting times here at The Broads Boating Co.
Improvements to our existing mooring facilities and our restaurant decking areas.
So please feel free to visit us, moor up , enjoy food and drinks at Pedros plus you can enjoy a lovely walk along the river towards Upton too."

Another thought ...

...wouldn't new moorings/quay heading/pathway require planning permission ? So perhaps we can find out from the plans submitted what will be happening to that muddy mess where the grass has been ripped up?

The moorings have been in a dangerous condition (in places) for quite a time now. BBC are spending money improving them so just give them a chance to get them finished before criticising them. They are sorting the moorings this side of the river and BA are doing the other side so theres a lot to be thankful for.

I don't think that the BA or the Broads Boating company are doing any of this out of the goodness of their hearts !

We phoned and booked a table and mooring last week mid week.. We were reserved a mooring in the basin directly outside the restaurant. We weren’t, asked for a mooring fee, just asked to display our bill in the window to show that we had eaten there. The restaurant was quite busy with a steady flow of customers coming and going from boats moored along the river. It was the first time we have eaten at Pedros. We enjoyed the atmosphere, The service was very good as was the food and it was plentiful. We will definitely return. With regard to what they are doing to the riverbank moorings I think we should give them a chance to show if what they are doing will be a benefit or not when finished.
