We're having 2 visits in April.  The 1st is a short break in the Easter holidays with family, when we will be staying north.  The 2nd, a week with just the 2 of us when we will be on the south.

I'd be grateful for any up to date information about the state of opening or closure of any Broads pubs, and recommendations, as it's been a 2-3 years since we've had a boating holiday.

Any information will be appreciated.  Thanks

May I suggest anyone kind enough to supply any Pub info update the "Pub Guide" below at the same time as many reviews are so out of date as to be 2-3 managements ago!
Maybe Richard could spring clean some of the very old info ? Smile

Thanks for the reply. John  Yes, riverside or at least within walking distance.

Am I right in thinking that only the New Inn in Horning has moorings that can be booked in advance?

Thanks

Thanks, John.  I'll add them to my list and hopefully post some reviews when we get back.

Hi, the North

Falgate Potter Heigham - a shortish walk. Not bad.

The Lion at Thurne should be open - haven't given a date but they have said end of March. Will be great I have no doubt.

Don't forget Pedros at Acle - Tapas for a change

The Bridge Acle - much loved

The Maltsters Ranworth - really nice

New Inn Ferry and Swan Horning. All good - the New Inn is the only bookable. Moorings outside all three.

The White Horse Neatishead - a lot of people think the best pub around.

The Pleasure Boat Hickling is worth a trip for the scenery - if you go under Potter bridge

That should keep you going

Bill

Thanks Bill.  That's very useful.  I'm trying to have some backup plans in place for the 1st break because it's during the school holiday and our hireboat is 45' long.  I'm trying to think of places with good land access so that the grandchildren can have somewhere to run of their excess energy, and if we can eat out as well that's a bonus.  If we moored at Salhouse how long does it take to walk to the Fur and Feather?
Thanks again.
