Good Evening
We have posted a few responses regarding the free parking and the charges for moorings.

If anyone needs further clarification please call us on 01603782061.

We are all thrilled that the Wroxham hotel is growing so rapidly. It is beyond all our expectations and forecasts. The response from our local, loyal and lovely customers has been fantastic. We knew there was a huge challenge ahead but can only report positive. Thank you all for your posting negative and positive , the feedback is really helping us and we are listening so thank you.

"Obviously if you have not bought a ticket and head off into town you will be issued a parking fine ( We  believe this is how most car parks operate and believe it is  very fair)..."

Roy's provides free parking, whether you shop there or not. Their car park at the DIY shop closes during the evening, but the main car park is open 24/7.

I have never understood why anyone parks in the Hotel Wroxham or the precinct car parks (unless there are mobility problems). If you overstay your paid-for period, you are liable to be slapped with a £100 penalty notice.

Good Morning

We cannot comment on the penalty fine in the precinct but we trust you are correct when you say it is £100.00. NPE administer the Wroxham car park and the fee is £60.00. They collect this charge.
Obviously our Guests and Patrons always enjoy free parking at all times. Roys offer free parking for all their shoppers.  It all works very well except sometimes our guests struggle to find parking as we can become full  with people who leave their car to pop on the river or go to Roys !!
It mostly works very well.

Thank you for all your kind words and it so good to get constructive feedback.
If anyone is confused about moorings or car park then please call us on 01603782061

Our kindest regards WROXHAM hotel
Have a lovely weekend

Perhaps you should read your own signs in your car park. The penalty charge is £100. It says so at the bottom of each sign.

"Roys offer free parking for all their shoppers."

Correction - Roy's offer free parking for ALL shoppers, not just for their own customers.

Is it true that any mooring fees are not refunded against any meals taken in the hotel?

Paladine,

As with most of the insidious parking enforcement companies, there is normally a discount ha ha if paid within 14 days. This is to discourage anybody from challenging the often dubious application of the fine. Once you challenge, if you lose, you also lose the right to the discount. Would be much fairer if they gave you a discount if paid within 14 days, or within 14 days of an appeal result.

Abouttime,

On another thread they have said that the mooring fee is non refundable, so I don't think you would get a refund on food. Strange really, arrive by car and parking is free, arrive by boat and pay a mooring fee even if eating there. Guess they don't want boaters. Have to say the garden at The Kings Head is just as appealing as the hotel these days, plus a good selection of beers that you don't need a mortgage for. Last time I bought a round in the hotel Wroxham, I had to enquire whether I had just bought shares in the place as well.

Happy to support the honest and reliable pubs and businesses of The Norfolk Broads.

Hotel Wroxham, are your mooring fees to pay for improving your hygiene rating from 1? I see you do not display your rating!

Oh joys, another car park to visit to wind up the person behind NPE.

He doesn't like people who "challenge" his invoices as it takes up too much of his time.

Tell me, does he still ride round on his motorbike taking pictures and then claim they are from CCTV? Smile

Gary.
