Hi folks
Only 5 and half months before  I travel the 500 miles down to paradise  Smile

I was wondering if anyone could tell me if the pub at Wroxham , I believe known as the shed has
A dartboard and or pool table , and
Can you moor outside on a hire boat. I was there before when it was a swimming pool but not since and it sounds a great pub with lots of different ales.
Thanks in advance for any info.

It's going to be long winter / spring!!!!!!

Hi and welcome to the forum ,  sorry I can help u on the facilities of the shed but it has recently come to light that there are 4 public mooring spaces across the river from the hire yard BB on the same side of the river the shed is , these are as far as I know available on a 24 hr basis as the BA moorings and for private or hire craft alike .
No doubt some one who knows the shed better than me will be along n give u the information u requested . Happy holidays Smile

The Basin you are referring to is now all private moorings but hireboats can moor next door in Faircraft Loynes (NBD)last dyke on the left before the bridge, not sure what facilities are available now but it is supposed to be a Bistro not a pub.

The Shed; when we were there on a few occasions during summer 2014, there was a pool table and dart board, plus some very good ales.

Cheers

According to a recent thread the mooring to which are referred were to be provided as part of the basin redevelopment. Planning permission was given on the proviso that 4 public 24Hr mooring were provided.

Different Basins, the one where the shed is belongs to Peninsular Properties, the riverfront ones Rickh is referring to are Barnes, Faircraft are directly behind the shed, stumbling distance.

Actually the ones I'm referring to are on the river and 24 hr public moorings given over by BB as a condition of planning consent , had wonderwall been on a private boat where would he have been redirected to ?? Hence the importance of the 4 moorings stated being avalable even if it was just so u could lower the canopy etc to transit the bridge , so technically they are BB property but accessible to the public be they hire or private .

The last time we were in the Shed, they did not have either pool table or Dart Board and I don't reckon things will have changed because the building is very small.
They did tell us they had 2 moorings directly outside the building but I believe this is contested by the owners of the nearby properties, I suggest you ring and ask, saying that after our last experience there, I won't be returning.

if it is to be it is up to me!

The pool table and dart board were there in Oct /Nov 2014. I was not there unfortunately, but family and friends were. Some had not been there before, all liked the fact you can take your own food, (favourite take-away can be delivered), the staff are all very friendly and will set up the tables for your food before it arrives. There is a small charge but, that's no real issue, as the ale and beer are great.

Those who had not been before will defiantly be going back. There's also free Wifi there, so a haven for the kids to catch up whatever they need to catch up on their I things.

Enjoy

Paul
