Smile Hi everyone..
Are there any pubs along the broads that don't charge for mooring outside if you eat in ?, & can we get a pint of Abbott, or Doombar along the broads.

Nick & Tracy. Smile

The Swan??? However, I think if we take a mooring that could be
used by diners, it is depriving the pub of sorely needed income.
Of course, Ranworth Staithe is free and the Maltsters a very short
stroll away.

Best wishes,

Pauline

The New Inn at Horning is free and the Bridge at Acle is, if you display your forum logo.

I'm with the previous poster on this one, I feel you should only use a pubs moorings if you intend to eat there, especially if you overnight.

Doombar is generally available at Sutton Staithe Hotel where the food is excellent and the moorings are free.

Cant remember what the mooring fee should be for the Lion at Thurne but nobody wanted to collect when we were there. Excellent pub for beer and food, lines had all been pulled through when we arrived, noted that they catered well for vegetarians and for people with allergies.

As we know many pubs sell food but a pub is primarily a drinking establishment. I feel it only fair that all paying customers should have equal rights when using pub moorings.

Customers can be encouraged to dine by  refunding mooring fees when purchasing food.

I spend many hours in the pubs and spend lots of money on beer. Ask my local, their takings are down when I’m on holiday.
Cheers

Kind Regards
Alan...
