Does anyone if the Thai Restaurant in the precinct in Hoveton has reopened after it was damaged by water ingress.
We are coming down at the end of April and would like to re-visit it after an excellent meal previously.

The last I heard was that it wasn't going to re-open which is a great pity IMHO. We always enjoyed the food there. I hope I'm wrong.

We didn't. Went once, thought we'd got them on a bad night. Second visit we realised we hadn't.....  Indifferent

Happy to support the honest and reliable pubs and businesses of The Norfolk Broads.

We have had many great meals there, usually four of us, and takeaways when moored up in wroxham and fancying an easy evening on board. I am very fussy about thai and chinese food but have never had a bad meal there.

We looked through the windows, again (in hope) last month.  It was all set up with new tables and chairs etc and looked ready to reopen. We were down last weekend for a quick visit to the boat ( currently winterised) and we didn't have chance to check again, but if nobody else has an update then I promise to check it out when we are back in a couple of weeks.  Alternatively a phone call may be worth a try - it was called Yim Siam, so if its the same people or new owners are keeping the same name...

We are the same Karen, we have eaten there many times
and never been disappointed, I tried to ring them in
December when we  were going down with no answer not
even an answer phone message. Ir was the Lady at the
Hotel Wroxham who told us she had heard it was not re-
opening, I must say i didn't peer in, not like me at
all.
Update, taking Karen's advice I just tried to ring
again (as we are going down in a couple of weeks and
there is now an answer phone message saying it is
closed and they hop to re-open end of May beginning of
June.

Nice Thai at Rollesby (The Jasminum), in the Horse & Groom. Not a lot of use if you want access by boat I know, but if you are in a car.

Thanks for the feedback already, much appreciated. We are on the water from 29th April for 14 nights and had hoped to make this one of our meals out if it was open.

Thanks again.

Hi, we were at Wroxham Indian restaurant last Thurs and he said that the Thai had  been flooded via pipes underneath, the owners seemed to have disappeared and it didn't look good. I hope it does get up and running again, we will be there in May. x

Well I'm sure the Indian restaurant would prefer that the Thai remain closed...
