Visited Beccles for the first time since August last year and popped in for a pint. Sadly there were new owners / tenants who had just moved in and had no draught ale, only cans as they were awaiting an emergency delivery.
Clearly changed hands again. Wish them well. Just wonder if the Wetherspoons effect is begining to influence things in the town (not that i,m complaining because i popped into the Kings Head and got a perfectly acceptable pint of London Pride for £2.56 and the place was jam packed) .

I,m a Posh Boy now I own a swanky Gin Palace!

If your sort pass me on the river you have my permission to “parp” in my general direction !!.
Paul

Yes indeed, good luck to the new tenants. The Bear is one of Broadland's great historic hostelries but sadly has a rather chequered recent past. I'm sure if they can offer a product the public wants then it will do well again.
