Hi

We (four adults) hired a cruiser last weekend and for our first night e moored at PH on the river and with some trepidation (following some research on this forum) we eat in the BH Tavern. Pleased to report beer good and we were more than happy with the food.  Ok you sit in a "posh" village hall but you can see that the current management are making the effort and we weren't looking to settle in for the night.

Called In a few weeks ago whilst on the broads , nice new Bogs (boys and Girls ) was served by a young chap with a big crocodile buckled belt - who was very pleasant, was very impressed by how clean the place was considering the short time in taking over

The Beer ?? .....I had to try a few to be sure   Wink  which also speaks volumes

p,s didn't try the food as lunch was going to liquid form that day ????

Smile  hi all we've also been to the broadshaven but found the service abit slow, but then again it was the weekend & it was very busy, it's just a pity ph is falling into ruins, it used to be such a nice place & it seems to be a very popular tourist place, i used love to love going to the cafe for breakfast, it's a pity it can't come back again.  lori Smile

Just eaten at the tavern. Well kept cider and well cooked food. Forget the 1970s style building and go and enjoy home cooked food for healthy appetites. Its def not ping and go Cheers

We also visited the BH Hotel last tuesday the 22 October. 4 months ago I had vowed never to return to the place, how things have changed. The external appearance is much improved, the interior is light and airy, the food is plentiful and very nice pub grub. We received a warm welcome from the staff, the beer was good too, and the price was right.
