From FREEDOMS F/B page
" Water's Edge, our nearest waterside hostelry opens this weekend. Broads lovers will know this as The Bramerton Woods End. The rename follows a substantial refurbishment and we look forward to sending lots of our customers that way this coming season."

Hope it is better than before !

Still be The Woods End, just like The Red House and
Stracey Arms!

Oh, I seem to be stuck in this mud!!!!

Regards, Ray.

If it's neither here, nor there,
then where is it?

Think the name change is to do with the previous poor reputation. Smile

You know i'm going to get banned again for this post and because I
won't pay Richard any money for helping the readership but I posted
this over at NBN and east coast boating.
No edits, posted as is .. .

Bramerton Woods End is no longer, it is now called Waters Edge
which I thought at first was silly as it has been the woods end for
more than 100 years as far as I can tell. But after considering it, the
internet didn't exist then and the old Woods End has received some
less than favourable reviews in the last few years which never
disappear so a re-name is a very sensible move in my opinion.

The new owner is a nice guy and really knows what he is doing, well
you would want to if you were spending over £200,000 on a referb
wouldn't you ? and there is lots more work to be done yet !!.

Eventually the whole pub will be totally refurbished but he has
concentrated on the kitchens, restaurant and toilets. Basically the
whole bar has been ripped out and everything is spanking new with
new kitchens cooking meals not reheating in microwaves.
Very shortly he will be open from the morning for breakfasts Smile  until
normal closing time and has chefs working all day to service the 100
seat restaurant, with more seating being added outside very soon.

He is open on Friday at 6pm for an opening with wine and nibbles
but his first big day is mothers day and last time we spoke he has
booked 80 tables already, so if you want to come along I should get
in FAST !!

As for pricing, we all know this is critical and never more so than in
the current climate and although I can't tell you what the pricing is
like I have heard him telling people that the pricing is not going to be
expensive so we will have to wait and see.

The Mariners Store ( My Chandlers Next door ) does have an
uncertain future in the overall plans but Lee tells me he wants me
there and there is scope to remain there in some form. It would do
me no harm if my customers sang my praises while visiting the pub ;-
) considering I am one of only two shops left on the river front
between Norwich and the sea I really do need all the help I can get to
be seen as an asset, so if you wouldn't mind making it known at
some point that you are there to see me first and to visit the pub
second it could help to keep me on the river.

This winter has been very hard financially for me firstly the lack of
business and secondly I broke my Achilles tendon but the shop has
still been open daily except for Sundays, I will be opening 7 days
again during the season. I have made future plans over the winter in
the form of a new online shop from which we are serving customers
globally, only this week we have shipped orders to USA, Brazil,
Spain, Norway, Kazakhstan and of course the UK, which is great for
me but could see the end of the riverside canvas repairs and
chandlery if it doesn't pay enough to pay the rent so please do
support me if you can ( verbally if not financially or even liking my
facebook page is a real help ).

Bramerton is looking like one of, if not the best places to stop on the
Broads so we are all looking forward to seeing you there during the
coming season.

Kind Regards
Richard

I just wanted to wish 'Waters Edge' all the best.  As I run Hall Park Bed & Breakfast in Kirby Bedon it will be so nice to point guests in the direction of Woods End, a wonderful setting too long let down by the indifferent food and ad hoc opening hours.

Regards, Jane

jimgibnry hi,
I believe there are approx 4 moorings outside the pub but if you can't get in there is a nice green with a good amount of moorings a short distance away.  Removed most of post content as the information provided was not relevant.
Kind Regards
Alan...
