Stopped here twice last week.  Dissapointed after last years nice memories.

First visit was for evening meal in a half-full restaurant.  Meal mediocre but had to complain about 45minute delay in bringing out our deserts of icecream.

Decided to give a 2nd chance and returned later in the week.  Sat outside for drinks and overheard a lady complain about the prawns still being frozen on her prawn cocktail so we decided not to eat here that night.

We did speak to the manager on our first visit who offered his apologies.

Bubble burst after last year though am afraid Frown

Stopped at the Bridge overnight on Friday. Great meal. Very welcoming of the children (4 & 2).

On Saturday morning the kids had a run around in the playground, on the quad bikes and they even had a quick go on the 2p machines in the arcade.

We were at the end nearest the road, but it didn't disturb us and the pub was quite quiet by 10.30.

An ideal spot for families. Thanks to Phil and his team.

Ian.

Stopped here three weeks ago, overpriced for what was after all very unimaginative and basic pub food, sure it was plentiful but I got bored with it, in all fairness it was exactly what we expected from a pub principally trading on its location

stayed at the bridge thursday 8th july. first return in over 15 years. the place was well maintained and staff were all polite and friendly. great place for kids to let off steam with plenty to keep them occupied. was nice to get free moorings for the night, due to being a member of this forum but still had to pay £4 for shore power, but you cant win em all. would like to thank all staff for a great effort and will be back soon.

We booked a table for friday 9th july as last night of boat hire. When we booked was told a 45min wait. Can see why it was so busy as food was very good. but didnt mind as in no hurry to leave! Maybe more staff needed.

Had a meal here on 8th July, food was very good if a bit
dearer than anywhere else we had eaten.  The beer garden
was a lovely place to eat and the other half enjoyed
watching the boats going by.

food good to average

last august absolutely inundated with wasps

grandchildren love it

mooring no problem  even until late either side of bridge or river

service slowish [means food freshly cooked according to daughter a chef]

recommended value for money they try!

[ok children]

Good Boating

Next time you visit the Bridge inn check out the awards won for the service they provide. They are on the wall by the bar and well deserved if i must say so. I can honestly say that on my visit to the broads i did not see any awards in any other establishments.
Keep up the good work Bridge inn as this has got to be the best loved pub on the broads. (shame other pubs dont follow their example) Surely a place that will never end up boarded up, I hope!!!

All the best,

Mick.

BREAKING NEWS. ZACTHEDOG GETS FREE PINT AT BRIDGE
well it was a bowl of water ! LOL
called in sunday for our favorite sunday roast, wife ordered the food and again had it on the table in minutes, went down a treat, talking to Phil(the landlord) and he asked where zac was, i said i was going to get him after i had eaten, was off i go and fetch him, Phil comes over to say hello, and then one of the staff came over with a dog bowl full of water for him,as i have said before service just deosn't get any better than this, and one or two pubs ( not only broadland) could do well to be half as good as this place,I for one can not recomend this place highly enough. But maybe i should stop and keep it to us that know. thanks again to Phil and his very good staff
If you don't go to any other pubs make sure you go to this one  Cheers
