Probably best to contact the Pilots office at Potter Heigham with the name of the boat. Mobile 07990 686097 or Land Line: 01692 670460.

This question is often asked on the Forum, but the trouble is that there is no answer to it. The water level at Potter is affected by all sorts of factors and you will not know if you can get under until the day you arrive. All you can do is be flexible.
If you can get under then go for it because some of the best bits of the Broads lie beyond the bridge. Personally, I would moor at West Somerton or Horsey staithe for the first night, but there are lots of other nice moorings and it does not really matter much where you moor. If you want a pub then Somerton, Horsey or Hickling are the places.
If you can't get under then Womack Water here in sunny Ludham is the no contest mooring for the first night.

As has been suggested, you will have to be pretty lucky to get through the bridge!!! Not sure what boat you have but at the moment water levels are high as the pressure is low!!
Assume and plan not to make it, and then it will be a nice surprise IF you get through!!
