Good Food & Service. Quite expensive.

Always happy to come back here each year with my family. Decent range of food, which you can eat in the pub or restaurant. Normally drink Ghost Ship here, which is more expensive than most other Broads pubs. We always pop in for a lunchtime pint and to book the evening table. It's always very busy, but then, we only go in October half term and Easter.

Mooring Description :
Mooring outside the pub, which is redeemable against food bought there. There are now also moorings where Horizon Craft used to be, as well as the opposite side of the river. A simple walk over the bridge.
Food Description :
Never had a bad meal here. Quite large portions, but not cheap. A Bacon & Cheeseburger with chips is £11.95. I had one of the specials, a lamp rump at £14.50 and my wife had a massive plate of fish and chips at £12.50. Service has always been excellent, hence we always return.

Over-priced in my opinion

Adnam's Broadside at £4.05 a pint, mediocre steak at £18.95, and 4 pieces of scampi at £8.95. Excellent surroundings and friendly professional staff, but wouldn't tempt me back, I'm afraid.

Over rated

Called in for an evening meal, terible service, over priced food.....

Mooring Description :
Excelent moorings
Food Description :
The food was at a high price for the area but was badly prepared. The steak was requested as well done but when it arrived half was burnt and half was raw. The raw half was left and when the waitress came over to clear the table she asked what was wrong with the steak. The reply was as above to which she said "what do you want ME to do about it". My wife asked for some mayonaise but when the dish containing it was delivered the waitress stood over us until my wife had taken some, then whisked it away. Now looking at the prices charged and the ingredients used I would have suspected that more than one dish could have been purchased thereby enabling say two tables to have a turn. Over all the meal was of the standard that I would expect from a chipshop, the prices were grossly over the top for the standard of food received, and the service was totally graceless and on some levels rude. Needless to say we did not stop for a desert. I realise this establishment has almost 'holy grail' standing on this forum but over several visits there has been no improvment except in the efficiency of money taking for old rope.

We liked the Bridge Inn

Moored here in Sept. 08 on a Thursday night and secured a space at the end of their moorings which was easy to moor to and very quiet as we were well away from the pub itself. Staff very friendly and helpful, drinks and meals reasonably priced. You can also walk into Acle itself either by walking along the river bank and then across, or the slightly quicker way along the side of the main road though note there is a path set back from the road, separated by trees/bushes meaning it is very safe. You join this path just outside the entrance to the pubs driveway. The walk is around 15-20 mins.

Mooring Description :
Adjacent to the pub itself (£4.00 PN) and plentiful on the other side of the bridge. I think they take bookings for moorings though we didn't need to.
Food Description :
6 of us ate here and all the meals were good. Thye do child portions but the main meals were plentiful and actually stumped me (The tower burger was massive!). Steak and ale pie was also particularly nice. We would certainly stop/eat here again.

Handy place to moor

All of the staff are great, the mgmt needs to get a clue. Good place to drink - don't bother to wait for food

Mooring Description :
very good, unless you're a yacht and just want to take the stick down.
Food Description :
Not the best, not the worst. Just not worth the wait or the money.
