Visited on the night of 15th October. Very friendly staff - chef was top notch! Although there wasn't many in the pub (most probably due to the lack of hirecraft), it still had a charm about it and felt homely. Clean, warm and cheery. Will definitely visit again the next time we are on the Broads!

Mooring Description :
We moored at the yacht station, plenty of space this time of the year and very friendly officials.
Food Description :
WOW!! Both of us had starters (Battered King Prawns, Chicken Goujons). Compared to what we are used to, these portions were huge!! Excellent value for money!! Very tasty and freshly cooked. Main courses were Surf n Turf and Rump Steak. Cooked to perfection and the salad has an incredible dressing of honey and mustard (chef's own recipe!). Again value for money and all cooked fresh. Didn't have room for a dessert!

New Management

New owners have taken over, first signs look good. Dog friendly and live music at the weekends.

Very generous portions

It was very quiet with only 3 other groups in. A little shabby to look at but friendly. Food took a while but was well worth it. Bar menu and restaurant menu available.

Mooring Description :
Yacht station over the road - tons of space, Harbour masters are brilliant. They recommended going to the Lady of the Lake for dinner.
Food Description :
MASSIVE portions - don't eat anything during the day before going here. Yummy food, very reasonably priced. We had cheese and bacon quarter pounder + chips & salad and entire plaice (2 fillets) + chips & salad and drinks for about £17. There was easily enough food for 4 people. Those with smaller apetites might want to share.

Great appetizers, great pub!

Loved this dog friendly pub! Very friendly people, nice atmosphere, wish I'd been there for live music but none the night we were there tho they often have some. Few min walk from the water, really enjoyed it! Great locals here!

Very noisy nights

A very short walk from the boat, only popped in for a quick, quiet drink, only to find loud music coming from the other room.

Very good. Many spaces available when we arrived.

Excellent pub grub - a good evening out

We ate here on a Wednesday evening towards the end of May and although the place looked a little empty - there was only us eating in the area by the big screen and stage - the quality of food was nothing short of excellent. We didn't have to wait too long for our meals to arrive either (about 20 minutes). After our meals we decided to stay and watch the England v USA football match on the big screen before heading back to our boat.

Mooring Description :
Mooring is available both outside the Wherry Hotel (£10) and along the front near the amusement arcade and toilet block (£6.20). We decided to moor at the latter area where there were very few spaces left.
Food Description :
Roast beef, yorkshire pudding, trimmings and gravy: This got the thumbs up from my dad and because of the generous portions he couldn't finish it off! Burger, chips and salad: I thoroughly enjoyed this meal - the burger was tasty, the chips were on the money and the salad dressing finished it off perfectly. The same meal was sampled by my sister, who agreed that the quality of the meal was fantastic. Fish Fingers, chips and beans: My mum said that the fish fingers were well cooked and that the chips and beans were warm and delightful.

Not the best

The last guide I read on this pub said that dogs where not allowed, but I thought I would chance it on a warm pleasant evening. This had a small tight beer garden which was untidy but packed with people as we managed to get the last available table. There where a number of people eating, though this place was not my cup of tea as it appeared dirty and an alsation tied to the fence at the back which obviously belonged to the pub was constantly barking at my dogs, and staff coming and going didnt seem to care, so we decided to leave, eventhough nobody seemed to bother that I had 3 large dogs with me. Inside it again looked untidy poorly laid out and not at all clean. The bar staff though were pleasant and helpful, hopefully the brewery or pub chain will tidy up this pub and it could then be the pub the bar staff deserve
