Thw Waveney Inn has undergone a few major changes but is still being run by Nigel and Tracy - the original main bar is now an amusement arcade and the "Family Bar" has been created to the left of the building. Slot machines and two large TV screens in the bar and various family entertainment is on offer every night of the week.

Oh dear, what a change, for the worse!!!

Went in when we stop overnight on the excellent moorings. Changed management from previous visit, which was great. New management has done a make over, from old style pub to wine bar/ bistro, big mistake, it has made it soulless!! Before it was fun, lots of charity fund raising events like quiz nights, bingo etc (mostly for the RNLI). Now DEAD AS A DODO!! Bland starck decore and twenty something girls behind the bar with no fun in them. Food was OK, though the 'proper chips' were more like baked concerete!! The carrots were bland with little taste (would it not be wise to use chartenay carrots. The meal was priced high enough. Go in again?, I doubt it other than for a quick drink!! John.

All change!

The original bar at the Waveney Inn has been turned into an amusement arcade and a new "Family Bar" created in the single story extension to the left. Not really our sort of place at all, feeling much more like a holiday camp clubhouse than a pub, but I'm sure it's very popular with families staying on the campsite and in the holiday village. Large TV screens, slot machines and family entertainment laid on every evening. The two ales on offer were both from Greene King.

Mooring Description :
Great moorings at the WRC charged at £10 overnight, although free during the daytime. Mooring fee does include use of the luxury wet room showers.
Food Description :
Didn't eat but the menu is reasonably priced typical pub grub.

Pub with no atmosphere

Went in for a drink the staff were friendly beer excellent but drinking at the bar clearly not encouraged as near the main eating area in the modern extension the old part has a disused bar but filled with games machines for youngsters
