Are they Serious

good atmophere sadly let down by the food. The menu lists a 'Rib Eye' steak I would suggest that either Aldi has ripped them off or the chef is not up to much. I aasked for well done what I was given was a lump of black carbon which suprisingly was red raw in the middle. All this for only £17.95. My local can put on a roast diner on a Sunday for £5.95 with a choice of 5 vegatables then this is a rip off.

Good meal and lovely beer!

Reviews have often been hit and miss with the Ferry, but we were very pleasantly surprised on our visit last week. Lovely old pub with bags of character. Three ales from the Humpty Dumpty brewery were on offer all at £3 a pint - the Broadland Sunrise and Ferryman sampled were very well kept. The menu seems to be all homemade and included at least four vegetarian options. Five of us were eating and all enjoyed their meals.

Mooring Description :
The moorings are all in need of some work so a little caution needed, particularly with those upstream of the ferry itself. Huge signs warning that caution is needed as they can be rather slippery do little to encourage boats to stop, but we encountered no problems. A charge of £4 is levied for overnight mooring but you do then get a 10% discount off any food (not drinks).
Food Description :
Five meals were eaten - the vegetable & lentil casserole and the roast vegetable goulash were both just under £10 and were served with sweet potato fries and chunky bread - both very nice! The beef lasagne and the chilli (hot!) were also under £10 and were thoruoughly enjoyed as was the steak and chips. Good sized portions, well presented - will visit again!

Brilliant!

Had read some poor reviews about this place so was a bit reluctant to try it. I'm glad we did. One of the best meals we had all week. it certainly wasn't the cheapest, but the food was spot on. The portions were big enough to defeat even the biggest appetite. I didn't catch the name of the lady who was serving us but she was a diamond. You should try this place if your passing.

Beautiful riverside pub

We only stopped here to moor briefly as any longer we'd have to pay and Yacht station and Lord Nelson were free when using that pub so went down there. But lovely pub, nice surroundings riverside! Maybe check it out moor next time as hear it is dog friendly, lol

poor

very poor service, it was like we was putting them out by coming in for a meal. Food was not much better, Roast pork was awful. Perhaps we turned up on a bad night but you would think they would welcome trade

Very dissapointing

Sorry, but I disagree with many of the positive comments about this place(has there been a change of manager/owner since those rave reviews?).We travelled to the Ferry Inn after reading this very forum, but alas it was a wasted journey. The food was average(belly pork was tiny portion)Adnams was poor. The table was a disgrace, cutlery was stained and dirty(basics!!)Dead flies covering window sills, dead flies in toilets on window sills and weeks of dust.Staff were friendly, but too many young trainees(I know we all have to start somewhere, but better mix of trainees to experienced staff would be better).Sorry to sound so negative, but we hired a boat for the day just to try the Ferry Inn after reading the rave reviews on here, but suspect that they were written by people with something to gain.Very much a let down.Hire some cleaners that can clean!I am not a habitual moaner, and this is the first review ive ever bothered to write, just an honest opinion on a specific day.Hope I caught them on a bad day, otherwise their trade will soon go elsewhere.

A Ferry Good Meal

Food was excellent. The steak pie was loaded with succulent meat and came with a good dish of potatoes and mixed vegetables. Just couldn’t quite eat it all. The king prawns were also excellent and proved just too plentiful. Service was pleasant and efficient. The Woodforde’s Wherry was a little oxidised probably due to the usual low turnover. Switched to Adnams which was on better form. This pub is capable of delivering the goods but like most riverside establishments I’d be inclined to give it a miss on a busy Sunday lunchtime in August. You definitely seem to get that little bit extra when it’s quieter.

Mooring Description :
Good moorings available above, in front of and below the pub. Unlike some establishments of the same name, this pub won't sting you for mooring fees if you patronise the establishment.

Excellent!!! Highly recommended.

This is the fifth consecutive year we have visited this pub and each year it only gets better. The staff are the most friendliest I have ever met and are only too pleased to assit.

Mooring Description :
There are free moorings outside the pub, with a lovely seating area alongside the broads. They also provide FREE showers and toilets for use by people sailing on the broads.
Food Description :
The meals are absolutely superb. I cannot add to this apart from it is definitely worth visiting. Book your table in advance, as it is an extremely popular pub. If you are using the ferry, let them know at the bar if you require a late return ferry. Excellent!!!!

Reedham Ferry Inn

The best food on the Broads by a considerable margin. Excellent real ales too. The only drawback is that it is very, very popular with people coming by car from miles around, so book if you can.

Mooring Description :
Plenty of room right outside the pub. Careful of the ferry, but it's something to watch the morning after a great night in the pub.
Food Description :
Very reasonably priced lobster, a magnificent Madras, everything beautifully presented and made and cooked on the premises. Absolutely magnificent. Very well kept real ales...Woodforde's Wherryman was exceptional.
