Nice pub

Nice beer , has two bars like the old days. Decor is a bit old fashioned but makes a change to be in an older style pub rather than the newer ones, landlord very welcoming

Mooring Description :
Large mooring 10 minutes from the pub, has water. Always very quite and hardly any boats. Can walk to the beach but it's a bit of a trek, horsey staith is closer to the coast
Food Description :
Good food no complaints, crab salad was excellent

Another great stay.

Stayed here June 26th-July 1st, as usual looked after very well by Gail, John & staff. All ground floor tastefully re-decorated with new wall hangings brighten both bars. Pool table & Darts available to use. For those who cannot get above the Bridge, John now has a minibus & will pick up from anywhere north of Potter, that is accessible by road, but no service on Monday or Thursday. All together a very enjoyable stay.

Mooring Description :
West Somerton has moorings, about 1/4 mile away.
Food Description :
All meals are good value & very satisfying.

Quiet

Another empty pub. Nothing wrong with it just no customers the few times we've been for a drink. Cheapest place in the area for drinks. Not tried the food but will do. Friendly staff.

Worth a Try

Interior now (May 2007) pleasingly revamped and brightened up. Friendly reception and general atmosphere. Nothing dramatic or sensational, but decent pub grub and a decent pint.

Mooring Description :
Peaceful moorings at the end of Somerton Dyke now taken over by the BA and therefore free. Water point but no hose as yet.
Food Description :
Fairly standard pub menu at fairly standard pub prices. Well cooked (including proper chips)and well presented.

Recently changed hands so don't be put off by the somewhat fading decor. Friendly new owners trying hard & succeeding. Good pub with good food.

Mooring Description :
Good quiet moorings available a short walk away. Lots of local talk of monster pike & perch but sadly they eluded us!
Food Description :
Proper food with good friendly service. Recommended.

New people, finding their feet.

The new people are still getting sorted out (and apparently can be erratic as to opening times), but were friendly and gave good service (Abbot in good order).

Mooring Description :
Plenty of good moorings at the village staithe. Can be tight for turning larger craft.

Good Free House with good food

Always good beer (Abbot plus a guest) and a quiet but friendly greeting. Often good for a chinwag with the natives.

Mooring Description :
Plenty of good moorings at the village staithe, with a water point. There is a mooring fee but no-one has ever asked us for it.
Food Description :
A good variety of honest plain food, good VFM.
