What a spot on boat, we had emerald last week and what a fab boat, perfect for two (as we were) was a real home from home and we felt right at home on it, Richard and Fiona cant be complimented enough on their approach towards their business, simply superb and the best ive experienced on the broads by far, i would give them 10 out of 10 for service and thats alot for me! The boat was light and airy even in the 32 degree heat comfy, the bed was so comfy really comfy and the bedroom was big enough to move in (unlike most) the bathroom had everything in it and did what it said on the tin, living space, kitchen and dining room area was great and everything did as it should i really cant fault the boat, as for the boat it was dead easy to manouvre and the nanni engine was nice and quiet in the back the boat did everything we asked of it, the decks are lovely and wide so its great for the less able (like me), front and rear doors so getting on and off was dead simple. shes a low boat too so no big issues at bridges. Emerld comes highly recommended but even more i would recommend a visit to pacific :-)

Pacific Cruisers were absolutely top notch from the nice boatyard, location, the attention to detail about the boat, it's operation, the lesson, the knowledge of area etc. They were friendly, organized and I really appreciate the effort this family run business goes to. We received a warm welcome from Fiona when we finally arrived an hr late from traffic. We did call to let them know, no problem. They had everything ready for us when we did get there. We were able to drive right in front of boat, unloaded our belongings and the lesson began right away. Michael did a superb job of letting us know everything we needed to know about Pacific Emerald during our holiday, showed us how everything worked, rigged us up w lifejackets (inc our dog), and soon we were on our way on almost an hr long lesson on operating the boat, mooring, ropes, etc We set off after feeling confident we had the knowledge needed and Michael answering repeated questions, lol TY for your patience! I'm so glad Fiona steered us to the perfect boat for us 1st timers also! It was fine inside for us 3, hubby, myself and teen daughter along w pets. It was small enough to moor easily, operate and no problem w bridges etc. It was nice cruising right thru things while bigger boats waited, fit into moorings others couldn't. I think if we had the bigger boat I was looking at would have just added to alot of stress, so great decision there Fiona! It was clean, had everything we needed, perfect boat really! Everything worked great.. I'll miss you Pacific Emerald, til we meet again, sniff. Next time I'll def get same boat, same company. Can't freaking wait! TY for your expertise and for a perfect holiday on the Broads! X

I can completely endorse everything that Broads01 has said about Pacific Emerald. No point in saying it twice. Made a very comfortable home for us on the Broads for 4 days July 2006.

The best thing about this boat was everything that mattered worked without missing a beat. The engine was great, no problems with electrics, toilet or anything. You might say 'well so what?' but having read some of the recent posts about more recent boats from other places, I was really grateful for a completely hassle-free holiday. The boat has had a partial refit which has improved it - the saloon seating has been redone, the double bed had a comfy sprung mattress, & the toilet was a recently fitted, electric type. The galley is overdue a refit, but Richard & Fiona at Pacific have already identified this & it'll be done next winter. On the negative side, the saloon seating isn't comfortable & the heating is completely inadequate - a single gas heater in the saloon meant we were uncomfortably cold in the rear cabin. There's no carpet anywhere. However, these faults are not unusual in hireboats & are consistent with budget boats of this type. Customer service from the boatyard was superb. They treated me as an individual, not just someone queuing at a reception desk. They made us coffee whilst we waited for our taxi back to the station! I was left in no doubt that if there had been any problem with the boat, it would have been rectified swiftly. Overall, excellent value for money & very much recommended.
