Just back from another week on diamond this time with 4 onboard, in the 80-90 degree heat she yet again excelled, the split canopy being a godsend, all 4 of the party slept well and as ever diamond performed faultlessly. Best thing 44ltrs of fuel used to go everywhere. Richard reported plenty of bookings already for 2015.

Just back from a fantastic holiday with the ever impressive pacific cruisers of loddon on the even more impressive pacific diamond, and what a diamond she is. First off pacific do it again and continue to excell in terms of service and customer care, I cant commend them enough. Ive used most of the yards on the broads if not all, the one I return to on customer service is pacific, speaks volumes to me. Diamond, is superb. Only time in all my years ive had people stop me and comment on a boat, all saying how good it looks, the pilot at wroxham couldnt believe it was the same boat as its previous hire companies. Outside diamond looks the business, great looks, great lines, modern styling and due to pacific minimised logos etc it looks private unlike some other hire fleets floating billboards. Inside no dissapointments, infact very impressed first thing that hits you is its spacious, the open plan lounge kitchen feels massive and a great place to relax. Starting at the front, 2 singles with an insert to make a double loads of room great single berths or doubles, comfy and ggod nights sleep had, richard intends to upgrade the fittings over time but those in place were fine, but shows pacifics commitment to improve. Worthy of note a 240v socket in the front cabin, bonus! Front heads were again fine we had no issue with the space in the cubical, showers were great, toilets fine not a huge space but do they need to be? Into the cabin, and its so spacious compared to other boats, the steering position has been mentioned elsewhere I liked it within 5 mins sitting almost centre didnt register, infact I found it a bonus, great visability due to its raised position, 2 seats which turn (captains styke) 2 seats is great yiur not left alone at the wheel etc. Visability was great, reversing no issue, you can either look strait through the body of the boat or quick flick the roofs back head up and your visability is outstanding . Not once was visability an issue, infact I found it very intruative as did other helmsmen. Plus even the wiper wiped the screen where I was looking unusual for a hire boat. On manoeuvrability diamond handles brilliantly so simple to helm and cruise, even a complete novice moored with ease, diamond has bow thruster that of course help immensely but is a very maneuverable boat as she is. Engine was 50hp nanni which is low reving giving us a very sensible fuel bill for 12 days cruising. The main cabin has warm air heating 240v inverter (big) and shore power, tv, radio, handheld vacuum etc. Lovely fiitings throughout, even better with the spilt roof design enabling more enjoyment of better weather. In all a great place to be. Kitchen, again open plan which I feel is a big plus, all mod cons, microwave etc. Main points here electric ignition on hob and oven, a full size (home) hob, an oven that cooks and cooks well plus has a light! a fab grill for the toast your not waiting forever for. Very well laid out lots of space and lovely fittings. Rear heads slightly larger than the front accessible from main cabin and rear cabin, real clever design that works, again plenty of space with no issues raised, good shower, all good. Rear cabin plenty of room, lots of storage space, bed again comfy with no complaints. Rear window and door to aft of boat. Aft has a good space and very easy to get on thanks to good use of steps and lots of rails etc. This boat is great space to be in very light and airy and is honestly the best fitted out and arranged hire boat ive had, never before have I been stopped and had so many posotive comments. Would I recommend pacific? YES without hesitation Woukd I recommend diamond? YES without hesitation. A lovely boat from a fantastic boatyard, its a no brainer, ive already booked it again.
