Just home from 2 weeks on Fair Admiral 2, and as ever had a brilliant time. Home now, so guess its time for the review. As always with Faircraft, she was turned out beautifully clean inside and out. The raised sundeck with fixed seating was superb for cruising, eating and enjoying the british weather, although it has to be said the seats are not the most comfortable. Fair Admiral is a high boat. 8FT 1inch is the minimum clearance she needs to pass under bridges. Except for the obvious Wroxham and Potter, we had no problems with St Olaves,Ludham etc, although somerleyton at nearly high tide was very tight....... Plenty of power through Yaremouth, and despite her size, very manuverable in tight spaces, and thats without using the bow thrusters. Unfortunately, what you gain in outside space, you seem to loose on interior space. For some reason, inside feels very tight and a little clostraphobic, especially the middle double cabin. Even for a boat, the toilets are tidy. I am 5ft 10, of medium build, and had to bend double to fit in any of the 3 bathrooms. Admiral sleeps a max of 8. There were 4 of us,and even that was cosy...... Had Brinks lullaby last year. Only 4ft bigger that Admiral but felt double the size...... Interior fixture and fitting are what you would expect from a 5 star, 2 year old cruiser. Had to call out Faircraft when at beccles as the batteries were not charging. He came within 3 hours and changed 4 batteries. Also needed new shore power lead as one provided was faulty. Overall, a very nice, very comfortable cruiser, fantastic if the weather is good, not so much if it isn't.She looks great, and a nice new design for broads cruisers, although saying that, not sure I would not hire her again. For those who are interested, I have tons of photos of all areas of her. Let me know if you want to view any particular aspect of her and I will happily post on forum
