You can watch the full video review by going to www.youtube.com/feelmyheaven and searching the channel for ‘Belmore’ – I hired Belmore over the May Bank Holiday period in 2013. The boat is neither too compact or large, but does attract a premium price. The general fit out is excellent all in a light wood finish which has been kept very nicely maintained. Holly & Teak laminate flooring, luxury upholstery and curtains add to the quality feel inside. Amazing hot air heating system which is ‘water heated’ and fully controllable from a thermostats located in the front cabin and main saloon. The heating system also heats the domestic water – so no need to run the engine for hot water. A compact galley but with all you will need including a 4 burner hob, oven and microwave. Quality crockery is let down by mediocre utensils and cutlery. If you want to have a shower you better be small because the heads are very very small so best use shore side facilities – such as those found at Barnes Brinkcraft own boatyard. Comfortable berths but very narrow – coupled with a leaking right hand window saw me make up the dinette each night into a spacious double berth. External vinyl window covers for forward saloon windows in a mess – have shrunk and missing some press studs but with perseverance will fit and give privacy of an evening. Of course a pain to do each night and take down in morning when dew covered and wet. Very responsive engine – big one for the size of boat too – easy to handle, bow thrusters add to toys. Great outside space complete with over head light for summer evenings to sit out and enjoy – would be nice to have a folding table so once can eat outside there too. Very high freeboard means getting off – and more especially back on a challenge when side on moored to a low bank/quay heading. Overall very nice – perhaps worth the money I paid with a discount, but otherwise may be a tad pricey for interior space. Suite a couple but will sleep 4 – I’d book it again, it comes in at 7/10 in my mind.
